Consonant /ð/
/ð/ is a fricative consonant formed by placing the tongue close to the cutting edge of the upper teeth and blowing. The vocal cords vibrate when producing the /ð/. It's 'voiced'. The most common writing patterns are 'th' at the beginning of function words, 'th' between vowels, 'the' at the end of words.
